I have a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Eastern Michigan University.
As part of my Master's training in Community Counseling I completed a 600-hour internship at the Ann Arbor office of Michigan Rehabilitation Services, a state-federal agency dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities obtain employment.
I also hold a Master of Hospital Administration and a Ph.D. in Medical Care Organization, both from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
I did my undergraduate work at Columbia College, Columbia University in the City of New York.
I was a full-time faculty member in the Department of Health Management and Policy, University of Michigan School of Public Health, from 1978 to 2014.
